crankshaft sensor

hi i have a y plate 2.5 v6 the aa man thinks the crankshaft ,camshaft sensor has gone it keeps cutting out then sometimes minutes later it starts then stops  were are these sensors can i do it myself thanks dave :-[

Sounds like crank sensor.

Do a 'paperclip test' (see Maintenence Guides) and post results here :y

yep...crank sensor mate......mine did the same
its located on the nearside of the engine (passenger side)...down by the oil filter.
Its secured in by one bolt
the connector lead is fed up the back of the engine and is connected high up under bulkhead behind plenum
