cubby hole removal
« on: 13 September 2007, 21:54:30 »

can anybody advise how do i remove the small square cubby hole in the dash board next to radio?  have bought nokia mobile phone bracket which i think could be fitted inside the cubby hole as dont want to drill into dash panel..my theory is to remove the cubby hole and then fit the bracket to the back of casing and then reassemble..or if anybody has any previous experience would be pleased to share

As i recall a butter knife top and bottom (or left and right - sorry can't recall exactly) and it should pop out.  bit easier with the radio out.

thanks ians...so it is only pushed in and can be removed without taking out radio and dash trim??not being tight but have found phone brackets and they cost £20=00 +  so if i can screw the nokia bracket into the back of cubby hole and then push back into dash should work a treat...think we have some old knives..have a look when missus is out ??

Yup, that should work.  Don't be too energetic with the knives though!!

On my last Omega, you could get the thing out by pulling with your fingers.
