Ahhhhh never read that bit, then i am inclined to agree with Omegatoy in that the fuel pump is not keeping up with demand :(

Problem no more!  :y I had the error codes examined which lead to the MAP sensor. This had the vacuum pipe off. It looked like it was on but was not connected and covered in oil. Quick clean up, reconnect the pipe and now I can lose the boy racers again  :P

Anyhoo, thanks for all the suggestions guys.  :)

As you say. the computers on cars these days can make it a little difficult to diagnose faults
