CAM BELT COVER

Hello all , got my cambelt kit ,cam sensor and the gasket cover yestr tryed to change the sensor but the second nut on the cambelt cover is just turning and turning and turning yous get the point yes it pi---d me of , is there any way i can go about getting it out{the nut}  ::)              thanks :y

Have you tried with all the other bolts removed pulling on the cover whilst trying to undo the last bolt, this method quite often works.
If this fails post up a pic so that we can get a better idea of which bolt and where.

Watch for the rubber gromits washer things mine went all over and i lost one ::) lucky i had a spare one.

got it of new gasket on and sensor now just hope it all good , will let yous no  :y :y :y

HI, I put the new gasket on and the cam sensor and it still wont go over 4500 RPM any other idea :'( :'( :'( :'(

Crank sensor is my only other guess. You got any codes stored in the ECU?

i got codes read a few weeks ago ,i posted them on but cant find them , would the crank sensor make it stall two with no accelertion ?

When the ECU cannot read engine rpm it automatically prevents the engine reving over 4500rpm to stop any possible engine damage the only thing that reads it is the crankshaft sensor if you disconnect the plug i bet it won`t be any different.
Alot of garages replace cam sensor because it usually brings up a fault code for it when the crankshaft sensor goes down. :y :y :y

Did you fit a genuine Vx cam sensor?

Doesn't sound like the crank sensor to me on a 2.2

to confirm disconnect the crankshaft sensor if it makes no differents thats your problem if it is fit gen vaux part as aftermarket ones are shite!! ;)

Sounds like an aftermarket one, Vx brought a replacement part for the cam sensor on a 2.2.
