Outside Temp -23C???

got in the 2.0 this morning for work, and the display read MINUS 23 for temp. any ideas what's caused that??

this is the car that rarely gives me any trouble by the way

a) Outside temp sensor failure?

or

b) It was -23

Have you been though any floods lately? Sensor under front bumper gets wet and changes its resistance with the dampness. Try just waiting till it dries out before rushing off to spend a tenner.  

Also serious amounts of water around the passengers foot well  big  electrical connectors will give you up to -39.5  C before changing to "F" !

uhmm, not convinced...

Actually, I'd need to check - not done by config codes, but probably an option on language screen.

I hadnt thought of that, can anyone else confirm this is a possibility?? I have driven through some shallow water unavoidably but very carefully, if it re-adjusts itself then obviously i'd be happier having no need to spend cash

is it possible for someone to post a pic of where the sensor actually is please?
