Hi
A quick word of warning, I kept putting off fixing the leak until I had time.
On the way home from work one day I had to overtake and gave it a boot full in sports mode as I got passed the gasket failed and dump the oil all over the hot exhaust result, a fire, and lots of smoke.

I put the fire out but had to change a few bits of plastic including the cam cover etc and the sound proofing on the bonnet all damage by the fire.
My advise is don't put off changing the gasket and fixing the leak
...it will also fry your plug leads and dis pack.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions of DIY etc.

I will happily change a bulb or two, even change filters and oil, but i have no interest in getting stuck in about anything else ;)
I do love this site, i spend an inordinate amount of time here, reading interesting threads, but i mainly do this because i love the Omega so much. It is by far the best car i have ever owned.

I was after a couple of suggestions on good indy garrages etc.
who wouldn't try to rip me off for the gasket change :)

Hiya Iain
I was in the same boat as you m8.
I did my first oil change in september when I bought the mig.
The next job I tackled was the camcover gaskets!
Piece of cake, for about £80.00, you'll get the gaskets O rings etc. Spend 20 quid on a torx socket strip

Alot of things on the migs are deceptively simple & the many how2's help alot.
And I just did my cambelt last weekend - with the dvd :)
