CENTRAL LOCKING

I have just noticed that when  I lock the car using the remote the drivers door push button is very slow and sometimes not moving at all last time it happened  I sprayed wd40 down the hole and it has been ok for a couple of weeks . Any suggestions ? does it sound like it is a door card off job and a good old spray with wd40 or is it the solonoid on its way out  :question

Door card off and lubricate all the linkages and solinoid properly.

WD40 is NOT a lubricant - despite what it says on the can .. it was designed as a water dispersant - the lubrication ability is piss poor, and the carrier fluid is also a solvent .. especially of some plastics ...!!!!

Use 3-in-1 or some other light oil ... something actualy designed to lubricate !!!!!

Just my 2.35 p's worth (inc VAT)

Try spraying WD40 on faded plastic house gutters and downpipes, incredibly it brings them up looking like new.

Is there no limit to the benefits of this wonderful fluid?

Good for 'helping' the charcoal to catch on the BBQ too.

Seriously I need to sort mine out too perhaps I'll have a go tonight after work. How about silicon grease?

PTFE spray lubricant is the recommended solution as its a dry lube.
