Adding Cruise Control
« on: 25 May 2008, 03:12:56 »

I recently brought a 1998 Omega CD 2.5l V6 Saloon off of ebay and didn't realise until I brought it home that it hadn't got cruise control. I was wondering if anyone knows how easy / difficult it is to fit and how much it would cost. I found the stalk and cruise control unit on ebay, is this all I need or is there other parts / more work to do? Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou

Is it literally as easy as basically plugging it all in? The brake pedal switch sounds like that may be a bit more of a challenge but doesn;t sound too difficult. Have you done this before? Thanx for your help mate.

Yep - it really is as easy as plugging it in!  Follow the guide on here.  the brake pedal switch isn't easy simply because of access: not the easiest thing to get to.

Well worth doing however

Yup, just a case of plugging it all in :).  The pedal switches are fiddly, but otherwise, very easy job
