Iv'e seen it, they put it on just before England played there games in the rugby world cup and it said on the front of the drum kit "bring it home lads". I thought it was an awsome advert and the Gorilla looked just like the real thing, (Phil Collins)  ;D

Vinyl only sound better on a mega turntable, brother in law has one can't remember what make it is but the turntable weighs a tonne and you have to remove the TT to alter the belts underneath to change to 33 or 45 ::) But the sound is brilliant :y

Had to relent with the missus as I have tendancy to spread out - old stereos are quite a size - anyway my young ones would destroy my prized record collection which I'm saving for a bigger house and for when they are older than 15.

The rate they damage cd's, DVD's, Playstation 2 Games is unreal - we spend a small fortune every year replacing damaged ones - can't replace my albums - well not easilly anyway.

I still play my vinyl lots on my Optonica. This was Sharps daddy in the hifi stakes, just looked out the recepit for it, £1357, that was back in 1987!!!!! It is now played through a Bose speaker system and still sounds awsome to this day.

I have a right mix

Old Sony turntable recovered from a mini system my dad used to have, still quite good but not brilliant.

The amp is definately a comprimise, it was one of the best mid range AV receivers at the time a Sony STR-DB930, I use a set of Castle speakers - Pembroke floor standers as fronts, a Pioneer DV575 DVD, SACD, DVD-A player, and a Sony MD deck.

Also have a Pace PVR, PS2, a Weeeeeeeeee, and a Sony CRT TV

Trinity Scart switcher for the Twin, DVD, & PS2 for hte RGB SCART

Films sound great.

The children are careful, they can even operate the system

I saw that too.  Cracking ad and spot on message.  Shame they missed out - heroic effort though.
