2.6 V6 Fluid Leak
« on: 26 June 2008, 19:19:10 »

Hi Everyone,

Just been onto the drive to be greeted by a stream running from under my 2.6 V6, it seems to be dripping off of the bell housing. Checked the fluid and it has a sweet taste, possibly a water leak, anyone any ideas previous problems.
P.S Does the Omega have a hydraulic clutch?

Cheers

It would be a good idea to .. and sooner rather than later ... leaks don't mend themselves, they get worse, and eventually will leave you stranded at best ... or with an overheat at worst :(

ALSO ... and this is important to your wallet ... the HBV usually leaks all over the DIS pack ( if you have one of course - not sure if the 2.6 does) which then fails and needs replacing at mega wonga .... :(

2.6 / 3.2 have dis cartridges on each bank so don't tend to get drenched by the HBV failing. Still a fun job though!
