change the front discs and pads but make sur theyre are a decent make!!! ATE SORTED MY JUDDER

the discs can be checked for warpage if you have access to a dial gauge or similar.

I have noticed although this may be usual, when you get to a corner or trafic lights, when you put the hand break on it feels like its breaking to one side, as the car seems to grip one side and not the other ? its like it dips a bit on one side, the shaking couldnt be due to a siezed brake ?

What! Try using the footbrake :)

Have you checked your rear springs... this sounds like one may be snapped and causing the rear of the car to stoop down under braking. Will knacker ya tyres also.
