If the HBV is OK, it could still be the vacuum supply to it that's problematic. :-/

LPG plumbing looks OK. HBV is stll controlling flow to the heater matrix.

Kevin

Ive had a new HBV recently......and made no difference.......tho i will check the heater pipes going to the matrix like you have to see what i find  :y

It'd be interesting. It's possible that mine were hot from having been parked up, but having driven it for 5 or 6 miles on "LO", then pulled up, opened the bonnet and felt the heater hoses, they were all too hot to touch, including the run to the auxiliary pump and back. I would have thought they'd be coolish or cold.

I am losing coolant very slowly too, so I had already bought a HBV with plans to change it when I LPG it. I'll see if that works, and also check the vacuum to the HBV while I'm at it.

I'll check my vaccum today also.  I would have thought that there should be no vaccum when cold and then a vaccum when hot?

I'll report back later...

Ohh the joys of the Omega!  I have clutch drag, noisey lifter, water leak at the LPG evaporator to sort this summer, not to mention some rust i need to nuke  >:(

Nope, i didn't get the printout... They started my car at 5:15 last friday and the automated system took an age, flushing, leak tests etc... the last stage was lubricant i think!

One thing that makes me worry is that the final (or what i thought was the final) stage of the gassing was the lubricant stage.  This stage hung for about 15mins and the lubricant was stuck on 0.845gms, whereas they took out 0.950gms.  It was as though the system was struggling to inject more that 0.850..?  It was at this stage the KF chap started turning knobs and pressing a few buttons, this gave me the impression that he was aborting the process and not letting the computer do it's job.

Come to think of it... if it was refrigerant that was stuck at 0.850gms and this should be 0.950 as the aircon warning label under the bonnet says then i think i need to revisit them A-SAP!

just an update for you all to note...

Called KwikFit call centre and raised a luke warm complaint about the aircon service i had.  A few days later an area manager called and was quick to offer a re-gas for free!!  :y

Had the car gassed at Worksop last sunday and they took out 450gms and put 950 back in.  CC is now cold as ice and gives me the jitters  8-)

Yep. But they normally try it on, charge you and send you packing before you've had a chance to realise it's made FA difference IME. >:(

Having said that, I got a refund off the area manager with no hassle. Might get mine checked out again, actually. Maybe they under-filled that too. New HBV went on with the LPG front end and it didn't help. :-/

I didn't complain that it wasn't colder, because it was much colder.  I complained that the aircon machine failed to complete the job and the operator pressed the stop button and shut it off.

The area manager didn't even quiz me, he just asked where and when i would like it regassed.  No messin.

erm... Anybody found out where the ac gas went in the first place? Has it been checked for leaks? With funny yellow glasses and a uv light?  My pre f lift went 6 years with the same gas. Temp would reach 5 degrees, then one day no ac. pump not turning no gas, hole in condenser... Did you say they put 850 in then took 450 out? 400 missing... ? Or have i had one to many?
Have been told the dryer has silicon chrystals in it, and another source said it only needs changing if the system has been opened to the air... Other wise the chrystals can break down and block the system. What ever the case, consider an air con specialist, have seen a phew moans on here re quick fit up. Opening the ac system/diy not recommended.

I'm assuming they vacuumed it out and then the machine failed half way through filling, so nothing leaked, they just failed to fill the system completely.
