Check the maint guide - the connector can either be more oval or more square.

When the crank sensor failed on my 2.5 I cut the connector off and took it to the dealer to make sure I got the correct replacement.
It is impossible to route the replacement as the factory fitted one, not a problem just keep the cable from anything hot or cold.

Not entirely true ::) - I spent hours, and I mean hours, doing it.  It was only a few months after than I learnt there was a better way ;D

Only one crank sensor for v6 in general...however 2 different types of connector as per normal Vaux thinking...an oval connector and a square one...make sure you get the same connector...

It plugs in down at the bottom of the engine passengers side towards the back by the oil filter...and runs up to a plug the other end which you can find near the back of the plenum
