A Very Nice Old Man
« on: 08 November 2007, 19:53:58 »

Victor Meldrew, AKA STMO is a very nice old man. (No! I haven't been spending too much time in the Nags Head).

A couple of days ago, Steve took delivery of a package that he had been waiting for. It was an FM transmitter for his MP3 player, but when it arrived he was disappointed that it's performance was not what he had been hoping.

I had been looking at these and was thinking of buying one but was put off by the thought that it might not be very good quality.

I mentioned this and Steve offered to send me the one that he had as he didn't want it. The very next day it turned up in the post.

Now, at the risk of getting you all crying in your beer, I am always amazed at the generosity of spirit that is constantly displayed in this community. Whether we are happy or sad, in the finest of health or gravely ill there is always someone to help, give advice or just to have a chat with.

So, thanks to you all for making this such a great place to be and especially to Steve for his generosity, even if he does smell of wee.
