Believe me, there is no place on this Earth, that i would prefer to be at Christmas other than Britain

Oh, I couldn't agree more. But that's on December 25th. It's November 8th. Long time to go before I start thinking about it.

I love this time of year, bonfire night is over, christmas is coming.

Can't stand it myself. Miserable weather. Always dark. rather plastic santa claus gnome things dancing away and blurting out sh!te in every shop - already! One day I'll take Sammy Sledgehammer shopping with me and wipe out the lot! It's nowhere near Christmas yet FFS!  >:(

Call me a miserable b'stard but I'd quite like to hibernate until about March, TBH. :(

Kevin
Bloody hell and I thought it was just me.
That's two of us at least then Kevin.

Make it 3!!

Used to love Christmas when my kids were younger but now it's far too commercial and the whole essence of Christmas seems to have been forgotten. Because of TV, media and advertising there is so much peer pressure put on parents to buy things that are expected by their kids regardless of wether they can afford it or not. The run up to Christmas also seems to start earlier each year, especially in the blood*y supermarkets.
I was in Barnstaple at the weekend and they've already got their Christmas lights up in the town centre and it's only the beginning of November!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I still like it when it arrives - on 25th December, no sooner. ::)

Oh well, guess that makes me a bah humbug!! :P

Your right in what you say, christmas is not what it used to be, and it starts early, like the buds on my trees. ;D

I only posted to see what the response would be, good things, bad things, but I do still love it.
