smoking omega
« on: 24 December 2008, 15:17:59 »

iearlier today i was driving down dual carrageway and crossing a set of lights which were green but a fire truck pulled out, so i had to stop pretty aggressivly, not so hard to lock up or cause the abs to do that rapid breaking thing. But when i came to a stop a smoke like substance was coming outta the bonnet. Up near where the bonnet meets the windscreen!! It looked kinda like steam maybe. Only came out for a few seconds though. Hasnt lost any water and no warning lights came on.....

I had a similar thing a while ago steam coming up from the bonnet close to the windscreen wipers, it turned out to be water was soaking into the sponge on the ccuttle panel where the two scuttles join then dripping onto the plenum or engine when it was hot.
Hope this helps
Merry Christmas :)
