1) Yes, beeb always said it would be p2p based
2) Yes, by design. Thats the point! Beeb only have a licence to make (re)distributable for a set time
3) A very obvious answer, involving landfill.

Well Kontiki is absolute rubbish compared to all torrent engines I have used.

What is the point on offering downloads if you have to watch on hte PC?

Anyway just bought a 5m S Video cable to try out

You can make an adapter to do vga + audio to scart IIRC Martin.
I think TB knows more about it, or DVI to HDMI if you have the inputs on your TV.

Looks like VGA to scart then, I think TB has a diagram for an adapter somewhere.

;D

Get something from this millenium ;)

Seriously, the only option is RGB SCART, rest are all unusable.  If you have an ATI card, fairly easy to do the lead. If you have Nvidia, don't bother.

S-Video/TV-out on your video card will resmaple to 640 x 480 whatever the resolution its trying to display. Then add this to the 576 lines of a PAL set, and you can see with TV Out is utterly unusable.

NVIDIA GForce 7600S

SVideo worked quite well, 4OD quality is terrible not a patch on torrents.

NExt time I will get the aspect ratio correct.

Will try with some BBC stuff next time - I have a programme on my HDD to watch
