i have nothing good to say about bosal, the packing/silencer material often falls out and blocks the system. As other members on here have found.

I am suprised the GM box is noisy. I wonder if another part of the system is at fault? Have you tried blocking/covering the exhaust with a rag and listen for leaks/noise from other areas. Is the mid section stock with no holes?

Very strange. GM exhausts are quiet. I wonder if the parts are correct? Maybe post a picture, hopefully a 4pot owner will see something amiss.

I think about 18 months ago VX changed their supplier.  They are no longer the wriggly tin type boxes - just the usual can type things.  Not a quiet as the original

Same here regarding Bosal .......

However, generally the GM exhausts are spot-on.
Why not get back to the stealers and get a replacement under warranty - again!
For aftermarket systems I fit Walker, and find them to be of excellent quality.

Most reputable motor factors stock them.
Insist on Walker when ordering, and don't accept anything else.

Alternatively, try an on-line search.

I had a Walkers exhaust fitted by National Tyres after rejecting 2 Timex exhausts that were way too noisy.

Are you sure the rear exhaust is the problem?
Try to chech the grilled part of the exhaust (don't know the exact name in english sorry) in the middle of the car towards the front. If it has even a small hole it produces a huge noise.
