Did some custom analogue ASIC's for us once to......we did C++ (and some C), assembler and machine code (gods own language ;))

yep - still do, along with the 3300 (the IP-based SX2000 equivalent). Also owned by BT at one point ...

we have two Mitel SX10 exchanges and two SX10E exchanges.

As you can tell our company runs at the forefront !!?!! of technology
