just been trying it now, not started from morning. tickover is about 700.when i go into drive(or reverse)it drops to about 500(but not as low all the time) and quickly revs back up again.i think occasionally it drops below 500 and this is when it stalls.it usually does this from cold but i think it's stalled more after its warmed up.just going out for a short run just now so i'll see what its like when its warmed up and i'm back.(just had it for a few days now)

stalled once when out(neutral to drive)
Tick over revs and the way the revs drop etc.seems to be the same when warmed up too.
Anyway another thing happened...when pulling away from the last set of lights,it was revving but hardly moving so i had to use the manual gears. The auto box fault warning came up on the display so i pulled in when i could and switched it off.switched it on again, fault warning gone and it drove normal again.autobox working as it should?

That was the problem with mine. I got code 19 when I did the paperclip test, not sure if you can do the test on a diesel though - I'm sure someone here will know or look in the 'how to' guides.  :y
