It depeds of the load of the car.If it is used for daily commute 2.2 bars(30psi) is enght. If you carry laguage it needs to be min 2.5 (35psi).

loading is only me, a few tools in the back and the odd teenager now and again, so if i put 30psi all round would that be ok for the size of tyre and load?

Do you have the vehicle manual and service books etc in the leather wallet? All the correct tyre pressures are in there for each tyre size. For loaded, unloaded and continuous speeds of over 100 mph.

Just a quick update:

Checked the tyre pressures for the first time this morning since picking the car up last week, O/S front 38psi N/S front 37psi both rears 34psi  :o :o

adjusted to 30psi all round and seems to drive a wee bit better  :y

Sorry, I missed this post, no the handbook along with the passcard and wheel key were stolen by a previous viewer of the vehicle, I have bought a new set of handbooks for it now though which should be here in a few days.

have a look at this

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1184621237/all

If you're referring to the flyer info my tyre isn't listed on there or any other tyre pressure info for the Omega hence the reason of this thread mine are 205/50 R16

Thanks

I thought the consensus around here was 33psi all round (for light loading).

It's air, not oil, feel free to debate.

205/50/16?

Are they standard or a size you upgraded to from 15"

I don't know, I only bought the car last week, it was what was already fitted, the spare is the same size too which doesn't look like it has been used for a while judging by how dry and dusty it is. I've seen other mini-facelift Miggys with 16s on but they all seem to use the 225/55 variant.

Another symptom that does seem to point to the fact that these aren't OE sized boots is that the speedo seems to be a long way out, when my satnav is showing 30 the speedo shows about 38, this is fairly constant throughout the range I.E. 70 on the satnav = 78 on the speedo ETC. all previous cars I've had were only 2 - 3 mph out.
