The flight prices are the killer, you can check them out up to 12 months, cheapest you'll probably get is £1800 direct to Bangkok, thats 2 adults and 2 kids up to 12 is almost full fare for kids. You can books them all online including internal flights, which are very cheap indeed, probably your about 2,590 thai baht return, between £150/£170 that would be for 4 folks

You also have to be mindful of the time of year travelling, as schoold holiday times prices go up, at the mo Thai airways for going out end of March and returning first week in May is £462 and £310 for kids under 11/12, the bad news is yuou have to add on £142.20 to each of the fares, bl***y tax . Alternative to get a cheaper flights is to do a stop over e.g, Emirates, Quatar Airways, China Airlines, most of the stop is just an hour and a half to 2 hours, changing planes.

Doubt I will be down Phuket way, as I am based in North East thailand, but you never know i may well have a wee holiday break down there

Well checked out the customs side again for importing a car to Thailand, and whilst my mate was almost right in what he said not completely right. The car can be shipped out permanently in Kates name only if the car has been in her name for at least a year and a half, and there are some small taxes to pay, they even take into account cost of modifications, and use Prakers and which car price guides ........so looks like plan B, and will be a brand new pick up truck when I get out there in April

Oh that means the meega will be staying here.....................somewhere in the UK
