Welcome aboard Itonks :y If you get a replacement it must be from a similar age and the exact model (I.E. 2.5 CDX manual) or it will need a Tech2 to be re-programmed and they aren't cheap. The alternative it to send it off to a company calle BBA Reman (google them), they will re-con yours for around £110 and guarantee it unlike a 2nd hand unit :y HTH

Are you sure it`s a 2.5 and not a 2.6

2.5 was not in 2002 year, only 2.6, not sure if the ABS ECU's are swappable between the 2  :-/

If it`s on an O2 plate it`s going to be a 2.6 so will need a chat with Tech II
Fill in your profile as to location etc. May be somewhere near with Tech II

It'll be a 2.6, as long as it's cheap enough then get it but you'll need it Tech2'ing and I think Kevin will be your closest (although that depends where in the big smoke you are).

Have you have just bought the car? With luck you will find the 'car pass' in the owners handbook. The code for the original radio will be on this card.

As RobG suggested then. Contact DaveDND before entering too many wrong codes and locking it up totally.
