auto box warning
« on: 26 January 2010, 20:05:14 »

hi all , , some may know but i changed my auto gear box a few weeks back and all was fine till today ,, i started her up and drove to the petrol garage and stuck some petrol in, went to start it up and cut out with auto box warning on and the engine management light on, manage to get back home by keeping it reved but wen i got home i popped bonnet had a look about and and see nothing unusal but then it started no warning lights ect and running all fine ,,, but then i see a hose hanging down where the gearbox is and im thinking it may be the breather of the top of the gearbox.
is it ment to be pluged into some thing ? many thanks guys  ::)

Hi, breather for box is open to air. If the car cuts out you will get a auto box warning as it is spining faster than the engine speed. Might be worth reading the fault codes.
