Been searching for awhile on here I'm either blind or just can't find anything about replacing rear wheel bearings, mine was 'replaced' in October, was shown the old knackered one but it was one of the failures on mot as having excessive play.
After jacking car up it definately had excessive play
the garage that replaced it is going to sort it as they didn't obviously do it right, they gave the excuse it has bedded in and needs tightening? Is this right?
He said it had to be done from the back of the hub?
'dangle berries', how can stick on weights for balancing need tightening? Lame excuse!
Alloys are done from the back of the hub, some like facelift 17's have to, as there is no 'rim', its also done for asthetics as it hides the weights.
Might be worth a trip to WIM (Wheels in Motion) in Chesham, bit of a drive, but they will be worth it for a full geometry alignment and ballancing. Transformed our fleet of 3 Omegas
