Had similar situation on my 2.2 a couple of years ago - spanner light would come on but no change noticed in performance ( although it didn't lead to EML coming on) - cured it by cleaning all the breathers and throttle body - only recently cleaned them again (30k since last clean) as it started happening again - no spanner light since cleaning them  HTH

Sorry for the delay Tigers-Gonads :-[ Had the codes read by Mike @Autovaux the following came up :
P1553 Not titled, maybe something to do with brake booster?
P0420 CAT efficiency
P0170 Mixture rich

So what does all this mean my fellow OOFers ? Also now he has reset the orange EML light the red spanner light has started to come on after a few miles during every journey although it resets if you turn off the ignition. This red spanner light was doing the same prior to the EML coming on yet stopped when the EML was on. Any ideas!!! :-/

might be a good idea to give the breathers a good clean and then give it a good blast up the m62 to see if they is any crap in the cat / exhaust  :y

mikes a good lad :y
got too say that, i'm using his ramps to fit my new exhaust next week  :D
