2002 2.2 SPORT
« on: 20 February 2010, 10:19:43 »

Hello, the 2.2 SPORT models appear to me to be identical to the facelift MV6 models in appearance.
Are they identical on the suspension components.ie shocks and springs?

2.2 sport is an MV6 with a small engine. 'Sport' is probably an ambitious name ;D

They do go OK, but obviously 1.7 tonnes off a 140bhp engine (when new) isn't the same as the V6 options.  You tend to have to rag the nuts off it to make it 'sporty'. Apparently ::)

Very nice looking one on the ebay in SLady bitshorpe,silver,63k,cambelt 53k,history and sat on 4 good michelins.Just looks a very nice package, downside is it would have to be paid for!
I have made the decision, sticking out for a 3.2 MV6,what are the chances of finding one with a sunroof and leather?

There is 'going OK', and there is 'goes well'.  The 4 pots are definately in the 'goes OK/adequate' camp ;)

Wouldn't the 2.2 sport version have different rated front springs, allowing for the fact it's a lighter 4pot, and not the weighty V6 engine ??  :-?

Externally and internally it's the same as an MV6, however...it does have headlight washers but not Xenon's. It's the only facelift model to have standard non xenon headlights, but washers.
