I have a few questions....
« on: 23 March 2010, 01:00:45 »

Hi, guys... (sorry if this is in the wrong section..)

I made the Jump and bought an 02 plate Omega.....

2.2 CD Auto Petrol and was told by the garage i bought it from it was Chain not Belt, would someone on here please help me find out what it is as i thought all petrol models are Belt.... (I am a noob at Engines!!)

the 2nd question is....

Who is the best person to sort out my remote fob as the opening button does not work.. the close and the boot button work.. and if i lock with the remote and open with the key the bleeding alarm keeps sounding!!! please help me, these are only very minor issues!!!

I managed to drop the garages sale price by about £150 due to the fob being dickey but i know theres bound to be some great experts on here!!

I live in Sidmouth Devon..

and the last question....who is the best person to sort out a new fob and key as a spare?? the closer the better!!!!

Please Please don't shout at me, im only little!!

I run an 2000 facelift Omega estate auto with a (Y22XE) 2.2 Ecotec engine which definately has a cambelt.
My 2001 Vectra CDX auto hatch also has a 2.2 Ecotec engine. However this is the (Z22SE) which has a chain not a belt, this may be where the confusion comes from.
I have to say the Z22SE is in a different league regards power compared to the omega Y22XE and performs so much better all round even allowing fior the weight difference
