not a lecture on the pro's and con's of buying new / second hand parts  ;) ;) ;)

Lets see, you can buy second hand clothes, houses, cars as a whole, books, phones, headphones, radios, tvs, dvd players, the list goes on....

But never buy second hand brake components, its the only thing stopping a 2 ton car crashing into other cars, or worse, a person!

No excuses, you can skimp else ware on oil changes, and other parts, but never skimp on brakes

First rule of car tuning is improve your brakes.

when we build a road rally car the first thing we ask is how much have you got to spend, on the brakes.

the most important part of any fast road car is the anchors

i for one would never buy second hand brake discs, calipers yes, but only to strip and rebuild before fitment

I've just spent £9.60 + VAT on just the spring clips that hold the rear pads.

Couldn't get them elsewhere other than dealer.
Now the  dilemma I had was, pay up or bodge the  overhaul on the brakes I'd just done.

Safety first here I think, I paid up reluctantly, so just need to fit them now in the knowledge all should be ok. :y
