Disconnecting fuel lines ??
« on: 02 May 2010, 12:17:16 »

To remove the inlet manifold you have to disconnect the fuel lines ..

Is is possible to pull the fuelpump fuse on tickover so that as much fuel is drained before disconnecting these?

I'm just thinkng bout minimising fuel spillage.

Thanks

very little comes out of them anyway, just put some rag around the spark plugs / cam cover to soak up any spillage

Depressurise first by using valve near fpr, keep a rag around it when doing it.

Then undo fuel lines. About a large tablespoon full comes out.  Place a screwed up kitchen roll underneath first to catch most.

Be aware as you remove intake, the contents of the rail will empty all over your wing/feet/drive as well ;D
