Thanks for those details - its is of great help.

I think I will put off having the camber/tracking looked at until I have the front wishbone bushes looked at.

I think it may be easier (dont' know about cheaper) to simply replace the wishbones?

I have found one garage which appears to employ men not boys and state they can do the work.

If WIM are as helpfull as everyone states (shame they are so far away) perhaps I should suggest my garage contacts them before they undertake the work.

Thank you very much for your kind guidance and help.

Cheers

That may not go down too well, suggest ring wim yourself and get the settings if he will oblige, then demand they are set to your car as compensation for the inconvenience with your local set up monkeys.

Remember you need to buy from the site to get the ( data/ before/ after support ) The only bummer is the OOF discount only applies at the wim station, all partner centres command the true fee of £95+ vat. This includes vehicle health check, the chassis image, front/ rear toe adjustment, castor adjustment via moving the subframe and front camber adjustment to "our" settings.

Those that can travel to us are welcome to the agreed club discount ( full calibration £60+ vat )

Members looking for somewhere outside our network should check this site for the correct machine> www.alignmycar.com this does not mean they are knowledgeable just that they have the right machine, in addition i do not personally endorse those listed unless they are on our map.

If members would like our data or me to check the centre of choice i have no problem doing that.

I have found the wheel alignment settings from Vauxhall:-

Front:- Camber: -1 Degree 40' +- 45'
           Toe:     + 0 Degree 10' +- 10'

Rear: Camber: -1 Degree 55'  +-40'
        Toe: +0 Degree 20' +-10'

Stats are for saloon but Vauxhall say must have 70kg weight upon both front seats and a full tank of fuel.

Are these figures any good?

Some say its best to have:

Front camber : - 1 Degree 10'
Front Toe:       +0 Degree 10'

Which is best?

I plan to inform the 4 wheel alignment garage (when find a suitable one in the North East) as to what the best settings are?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I reckon the red figures are better, but there is still too much info missing.  The thrust angle has to be set to 0 first. What about caster?
