I have to replace my MV6 in about a year.

I'm eagerly keeping an eye on Monaro prices. I reckon by next year a 1st generation '04 plate LS1 powered one should be just about affordable!!  8-)

Check out the prices for the HSV Commodore, they dont appear often but when they do theyre around the 11K mark, plus you get the 4 doors  

Wheeler Dealers on Discovery (repeated Sunday night) bought a J plate LS400 for £1300!! I know what they spend in time and money is way off (£200 for a parrot bluetooth kit that is only £70), but at that price it still looked clean and engine wise was perfect.

2nd thoughts, cheap V8 donor car+ 1 no Omega, anyone follow where it could be haeding?

i follow - as a few have - could be messy though but no reason why it wouldnt work with a bit of blood, sweat and tears along the way

Already have checked them out, but I ain't allowed an import!! Bloody red tape!!

Am I not right in saying that's what's basically in them already? I'm sure I've heard/read that they're very tuneable, unlike the 400 V8's.

If I had that I wouldn't be swapping the engine. It's fantastic just the way it is. That mileage seems a bit iffy though.
