2002 Omega CD wiring for radio

I`m desperate to find the above wiring which can be sent via email, or anyhow.
I`ve bought one of these DVD players and need to know what goes where.Has anyone had any difficulty fitting same.

Heres the schematic diagrams...



In reality you should just simply be able to plug the lower two parts of the connector into the new radio/DVD player as they are to the ISO standard....be warned that if it forgets the tuning etc you might need to swap the switched and permanent live feeds over....

Dont cut the connector off what ever you do.....

This is the reply from my son...You can see his biggest concern is the computer screen readout in the Omega. In view of this should everything be OK.
 
The wiring schematic is Ok but the good news is your car has ISO connectors. The problem is still the same though. We would have to cut out the wires behind the stereo to fit the DVD into it. If you do as you suggest and buy an already built Double Din DVD Player then i would suggest getting a recognised model and also try and ascertain before purchase whether the unit that you propose buying has ISO connectors on it. This will make fitting take a matter of minutes rather than hours. Also the down side to cutting wires etc behind the stereo is that when you come to sell the car you would have to sell it with the DVD installed. But if you got a DVD player with ISO connectors then it would take minutes to remove the DVD player and put the original vauxhall stereo back in. Also a point to consider. The small output screen on the dash may be affected if you start messing about with stripping wiring behind the stereo.

Below that is a message from the seller.

What's more,the connector of the item are made as ISO.And the item will come with wiring diagram.

Surely this is just the usual situation when fitting an aftermarket headunit?

You just connect the ISOs and reverse the Ign and Perm 12v wires.

You have to loose the radio/CD information part of the screen.  The trip computer is unaffected.

You can get an adaptor I believe, but it's very expensive.

I'm sure someone here has done it.

Just a quick follow-on question:

Are the ISOs for power, speakers and the Vauxhall specific wiring moulded together in one bit of plastic? It looks like it in the diagram above...

I want at some stage to break out the speaker wires on my CDR2006 to an external amplifier. If they were separate ISOs this would be a piece of cake. 2 ISO connectors, one male and one female, one to pick up the outputs from the head unit and the other to inject the amplified signals back into the car loom.

If they're one connection this makes it a bit more difficult. Is there a chance of non-destructively splitting the speaker ISO from the other 2 connectors?

Kevin, you don't need to separate the connectors.

You can use this and tee into it.  You don't have to damage the loom either.

One big advantage of the adaptors is to move the big plugs out of the way behind the glove box or above fuse box

Please can someone inform me which coloured wires correspond to the front & rear speakers and the power supply in an Omega (52) Plate. This has high priority to finish the job which everyone has contributed to.

Good timing, I'm just cramming for my Masters Degree in Omega B facelift radio wiring  ;).

Using the connector diagram Mark posted earlier the speakers are:

Pin 9. Brown/white - right rear negative
Pin 10. Brown/yellow - right front neg.
Pin 11. Brown/blue - left front neg.
Pin 12. Brown/green - left rear neg.
Pin 13. White - right rear positive
Pin 14. Yellow - right front pos.
Pin 15. Blue - left front pos.
Pin 16. Green - left rear pos.

As for the power supply wires, they're both red:

Pin 2. Red +12v with key in (ignition) should be 0.5mm (thin)
Pin 8. Red +12v constant (battery feed via fuse 12) should be 2.5mm (thick)

Thats the same question I asked when I first joined the forum :)

They're only available in digital format, you need a copy of TIS 2000. I could print a few out and e-mail them to you as a .pdf document, but if you want a complete set, there are an awful lot, and as they're interactive, best to have the CD.

I bought my copy of TIS200 on eBay from this chap
