Amp fitment - where?

I still want to fit an amp before I fit my Infinity speakers, can anyone recommend a good place to fit them?

I may need advice on what to bid for as well :y

Hillper put his in the rear drivers side cubby hole......which is sensible as its verticle so will get good cooling air flow...

Put mine there as well. Easy to route cables to, completely hidden unless you open the cubby hole and the cabin vents are actually at the bottom of the cubby hole so in addition to the vertical fitting, it will get a constant flow of air over it.

I have a Minidisc head unit (I like Minidisc, I have a Walkman and HiFi deck too!) with a 10 CD MP3 compatible changer. You won't like the make ;D

BTW none is new boy racer kit - I had the H/U in the Carlton

Ah, going to say, no facelifts have cdc in boot...

If it came from the Carlton, then at least it was done in a time that quality was still important to the company.

Never got on with minidisc. Nor did many other people judging by the sales ;)

I replaved the tape player after I found the MD in a sale. Still works well I like MD as it is easy to get records on to them

MP3 headunit here, 8 CD's on One CD....

I can get around 100 songs per CD but I prefer less compression

I mounted a piece of ply underneath the rear-parcel shelf, then mounted the amps onto that ;)

Sorry Dazzler but that is about the worst place you can put an amp.

The heat build up will curtail the life of the amp somewhat as it cannot dissipate the heat generated, it will just sit around the components.

Vertically on the seat back should be ok. Plenty of convection to cool it, and with a gas tank in there you won't be bothered about folding the seats down when loading the car up so I'd say that's a good plan.
