Blue dash leds

ive seen a load of kits on ebay for blue dash leds for the omegas but not sure which to use has anyone had theres done and is it easy also because i got a facelift model my climate control pannel and air con is on long digital pannel along the top is there a kit to change these to blue 2 as i dont want to do the rest of the dash and still have them orange

"tick" to watch.

Do remember that if you have a (MID) SatNav and computer screen display, I believe that will always be amber, even if it is a colour screen like mine the text will be orange.

I thin this is limited to "dark" & "light", I don't think that you can configure it to be blue text. :(

No it hasn't got back lights, it is essentially a LCD TV screen.

I was under the impression you could use anything from the colour range, TB will know for sure.

That'd be good to know at least.

BTW Kelv, are you going to do all the lights in the door switches and rear heated seat switches too?

i have done all my dash switches window switches and main light switch and steering wheel controls  just got climate and dash n mid to do !! :y

Trouble with the blue LEDs, apart from looking gay, is LEDs are suitable for indication, not illumination.  And they have a narrow output beam. Add to this that blues are all ultrabrights.

So, you end up with very bright, distracting indicator lights, and poorly backlit stuff.  MID in particular is difficult to read during day.


As to CID, obviously its backlit with CCT, rather than bulbs, and colours down with filters.  Colour changing only available by software, and Tech2 only allows 2 settings - and unusable one, and the one you have.
