Speedo not working??
« on: 04 April 2008, 20:32:21 »

Hey eveyone, I installed an aftermarket headunit to my 96 omegaB today and now the speedo isn't working! i take it a speed signal or something like that goes into the standerd radio? Is there any way around this apart from getting a standerd CD player?

Thanks
shane

If you unplug the new radio, does the speedo come back to life?

If it does, the speed data line is probably being shorted by the radio, you will need to investigate the wiring.

Cut the wire at the iso connector to the radio on pin 5 (Blue/red)
