If so thats going to have a limited range of buyers, being L reg, and practically base spec, not a lot unfortunetly.

Be lucky to get £500  :'(

Lovely car the 2.8 Capri mate I have had two, not as fast as a 3.0 Omega, and nowhere near as much room in them..

after driving an omega, you're going to be very disappointed...

I bought myself a Capri280 brooklands for my 30th birthday (somewhat more than 10 years ago) , my main car at the time being the last of the 24V senators...   having had Capri's (2.0, 3.0 and 2.8) in my late teens, I was feeling nostalgic....    what a dumb idea...

I was SO disappointed with it, noisy, uncomfortable, slow (by comparison) thirsty, and impractical.

the Senny blew it away on all fronts , handling, speed, practicality, comfort, economy....

nice as that looks, must admin thats very well done.

Looks like a neat job, but you will never get the money back you invested.

I am with MaxV6 on this, you may find a Capri disappointing after an Omega.

:)Hi. Your Mig's a tidy looking motor but i'm afraid you're going to lose the money you've spent facelifting it. I know it's heartbreaking & i'm not having a pop but these mods only pay off if you keep the car for some time. They represent no resale value, in fact being such an early Mig with only 103k i'd sell it off as standard, original etc. & sell the parts on separately. Sadly it won't make Capri money.
On the plus side, some members rightly say nostalgia belongs in the past & older cars are disappointing if you get one many years later.
True to a degree but i enjoy the charm & simplicity of classic cars. That might be thier view but not mine. I can  live without all the gizmos & comfort, a/c t/c etc etc but that's our choice.
I'm selling an old Merc & old Landy to buy a Cortina but still keeping the Mig.
Follow your dream, get your 28i but your Mig won't pay for it. :y

Hmmm, tricky one.

Daily driver?

Meega.

2.8i capri?

To be honest, performance isnt everything. You want performance?, 0-60 times?, Traffic light grand prix?

Scooby WRX, Lancer EVO.

If you are feeling brave, Skyline.

Basically, most jap 4x4 turbo motors.

2.8i Capris are all about the experience.

It is about the whole experience, from first drive, to the daily drive, to the weekend treat, to the shows, to selling it to someone who you will know will appreciate it as much as you did.

A capri has a status. A 2.8i is a status with a purpose and a promise.

That is it.

Anyone who disagrees does not appreciate cars.

My opinion.
