a change of project....
« on: 09 February 2008, 17:41:30 »

After James dropped it off last night, it actually looked clean in the dark.... but daylight showed a different story!

Glad to say i got rid of the Elite LPG Saloon on eBay, which was basically a shed with wheels!

Its replacement is a lot better.... I had to take James to the station last night... time was very limted and i can safely say this thing flys!! Soo much faster than the 2.5's lot more pick up low down, and the mult-rams are not even working yet!  :o

For those that don't know its a 3.0 Auto Esate Elite, it has the factory Sat Nav, Bose, tow bar, the works.

Its recently had 2x self levelling shocks on the back, cambelt 8k ago at the 2007 brackley cambelt party, new tyres all around, recent HBV, crank sensor, loads of paperwork.

Only thing i can forsee doing is maybe the cam cover gaskets.

oh yes....    the windows......

actually I miss that!  having noticed how my new elite's are many shades less dark !

it came like it mate.....   and I rather liked it , with the black interior, at night it's almost like having one way glass......     which was handy given the amount of expensive kit I used to have to carry around in it...

and definitely a benefit dealing with winter sun, low on the horizon....   the new car's going to have to go the same way !

Nice one, i did think the air-con felt flat. The radio is a bit fuzzy without an ariel!!

Guess could trade at the cambelt party?

Thought so... looks cool with tinted windows, they are not too dark, but it should also keep the sun out when the dogs in the back

well, probably, but not definitely   , there's definitely a leak though....   gassed it up last year, it was gone again in 2 days....  and the compressor bearings sounded shagged, so figured I'd get a replacement....   but then time became a luxury item and it never got fitted.

(it may also be buggered by now for all I know.. air con ain't my thang... i sort of generally understand it... but it's not on  my list of things i really know inside out....  )

Aerial fell victim to the car wash ....   (as did the phone one on rear N/S glass pane...  )
