When reverse is selected mine has started repeating a 4 second tone, then four seconds of silence. Does the tone and paused allow a diagnosis of what bit is wrong or is it just a "this isn't working noise"?

According to TIS:

3 sec audio, 3 sec pause ---- Vehicle specific plug not inserted

3 sec audio, 1 sec pause, then error sequence ---- Faulty sensor

3 sec audio, 1 sec pause, 3 sec error sequence ---- Fault in control unit
