Scuttle panel - wiring ok?
« on: 06 August 2009, 17:32:11 »

Hi,

Both my cars have the same "issue" insomuch as the wiring harness cables above the pollen filter have lost their "wrapping". Both cars are S reg an were built within a week of each other.

It looks like the tape has simply disintigrated over time. Apart from putting more tape on - does anyone have any comments?

 :(

Uh, IMHO, that should do it. you could use a few cable ties in there as well, to make sure the tape does not come loose later

I would like to think I would use something better than tape, just can't think what though. Plastic tubing???

I'll be using "self amalgamating" tape available from Maplin.

Will seal into a solid rubber mass once it sets.
