Thanks, was thinking of using one of those, trouble is I don't have a 12v soldering iron and my car is too far from the house to run a mains lead to use my 240v one, of course I could just buy a 12v soldering iron, which I more than likely will.

A gas soldering iron is really useful no leads and variable temp if needed :y
