Make that 6. Just found another. Looks like 1G PIII Dell Latitude WITH a serial port.  Now that could be useful....

I've got x2 Dell D410's, x1 D610 and 5 or so working C600's upstairs... does this mean i'm a geek?  ;D

Plus i've got a new D430 coming next week...  :y

I must be a geek then!

No mate.. your no Geek...

I don’t actually know how many laptops I own  :P

I have at least 6 laptops that will work straight away as they are, probably another 5/6 which just need an OS installing. And another half a dozen which are in bits needing bits like HDD / Screen / Motherboards etc.

PC wise... I 'think' I’ve got 5 in my bedroom! Then another half a dozen in the loft!

Servers... I have my IBM server which is on 24/7 and host a few bits and bobs (my profile picture to the left is one of them!). I’ve just got another IBM server, which I’m using as a PC at the moment as its quick - Intel Xeon 3.06Ghz with 2GB ram!  ;D

In the garage I’ve got two old rack mount servers which are essentially useless as there only 233mhz :-[

Then there’s my IPAQ PDA.

And to top it all... I’ve got my own phone exchange in my room with two telephones and a cordless phone all on different extensions! (I use it to connect old laptops to the web when they don’t have a network port on them... I just dial up to my own server, so its completely free! ::))

No wonder my parents go mad at me sometime!  ;)

Yay! All fixed, turned out to be a busted trackpoint causing the error. Found a guy 5 mins round the corner who repairs them (through ebay of all places!) and £25 + a new keyboard later and its all sorted, well happy...  :y
