cd changer problem

hello every one, finally cruising around in my omega at last (some of you may of read my gearbox thread problem lol ) but i went to put a few cd,s in the changer but it keeps coming up cd-safe    is it fooked or is there a code or something??

head unit is a ccrt 700 with the phone sim card thingy
cd changer is blaupunkt 6 disc

The changer has a code. It should be on your code card if the changer is original. If not, there are some unlocking chappies about on here and on ebay!

i read that you need code for radio as well to do cd changer code, thing is i got neither but when i changed gearbox i disconected battery but the radio never requested a code !
also there is no number next to where it says cd safe !

You can tell the radio to NOT ask for a code when the power has been removed ..... don't know about the CD changer! DaveDND would be able to sort you out with either code though  :y  :y  :y  :y  :y
Or .... you can get the Car Pass from Vauxhall  ;)

The code can be disabled on the head unit, but complex to turn off on the changer.

Yes, I can assist with either code if required  :y
