Airbag warning light
« on: 08 February 2010, 14:53:45 »

Omega X reg 2litre GLS 4 door saloon.
I just fitted a new ignition lock cylinder, so had to unplug and remove the airbag, which I did after disconnecting the negative battery terminal and waiting a few minutes.

After reassembly the car goes ok, but airbag warning light is on all the time.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

TIA

Bugger.

Didn't disturb any airbag wiring around the steering wheel, seat, or door?

Needs a decent code reader, and somebody who knwos how to use it, to find out exactly what has gone wrong.  May just need resetting, but I'd do a live data on it as well to check that values are too close to thresholds.

I'm in Sutton Coldfield.  I'll just go and do a paperclip test and see if it shows anything :-/

Not sure if Auto Addict has any kind of code reader suitable, seeing as he is nearby...

Your right!  It shows 1502 and 1503 = Immobilser Fault, which I forgot to re-connect before starting the engine after fitting the new key barrel. :-[
