Thanks guys. I decided on the basis of the comments to purchase the Nokia CK-100 in the end. This is £80 from Play.com (and 100% compatible with the phone). I have also purchased a Brodit ProClip phone holder with the charge cable holder. Will let you know how it goes.

Installed the CK-100 today in place of the CARK-91 that I fitted about 8 years ago. I originally used an Autoleads cable to attach the CARK-91 control box to the pre-wiring in the passenger footwell. Using  a 6 pin to 4 pin adaptor (INKA-025-9908 £7.04 incl VAT and postage from mobiland.co.uk) I was able to convert the original Autolead cable to fit the PCU-4 power cable socket in the CK-100 control unit. The Autolead cable takes the audio from the speaker output jack without the need to use the 24 pin control unit ISO cable at all. I used the  same Nokia microphone as originally fitted for the CARK-91 positioned by the sunroof control panel.

I also purchased a Brodit phone holder for the Nokia E63 which comes with a power cable holder. As the CK-100 also comes with a 2mm power cable (which fits recent Nokia handsets) I was able to feed this through to the holder to provide power to the E63 whilst the ignition is on. The phone holder fitted onto the original mounting bracket to the side of the aircon/radio panel.

The control button for the CK-100 was fitted just below the MID using the self adhesive velcro pads supplied. The two screws  holding the aircon panel in place behind the ashtray were removed along with the headunit and cubby hole to the left which allowed enough movement in the panel to feed the ribbon wire around the edge of the panel and directing the connector down to the footwell.

All in all very happy with the install. The E63 has automatic voice tagging for all address book entries which can be 'dialled' by voice by depressing the control button for two seconds. Likewise incoming calls can be answered by pressing the button with volume contrllable by rotating the button. Connection is automatic to a paired phone once the ignition is switched on. Audio quality is excelent in car and for callers I am told is better than the CARK-91.
