CCR2006 removal
« on: 24 May 2010, 17:22:04 »

I have removed the grub screws, inserted the two Vx removal tools, poked my fingers into the magazine and tape holes and pulled.

The bugger won't move. Just feels like the front will fall off :-?

Am I missing something  :-/ :-/

Exceptionally tight in the mounting frame - just be carefull when pulling with your feet on the dashboard (yes its that tight) that you do not pull the fascia off.

Easiest way I`ve found is to insert the double dins then pushing them towards the doors and wiggling the unit side to side, eventually it does release from the cage albeit one side at a time

Make sure that your fingers are pulling on the metal chassis behind the fascia, not the fascia itself.

They are tight but the "finger in each slot" technique worked for me.
