Under Door Handle LED Light
« on: 06 September 2010, 16:06:43 »

Hi,
Does any know where I can get a guide to put LED lights under the door handles and link it up to the interior light.
Ive seen it on a vauxhall vectra before and the guy said it was a simple mod.

Was just wondering if anyone has done this before on an omega (with pics)?

Hi Mate.

Haven't done it to my miggy yet, but will. easy to do, isolate the 12v feed to the interior light in the front over the mirror, bring wire down to kick panel. use hi-brite non flashing led in door handle, attach neg/earth from led to door, and live from light feed to positive wire. then when you lock/unlock the door, the interior light will come on and fade off when ign on, or you lock car, and led will do the same!

Simples!!

Could do with one of those round my front door lock to get in the house at night, little to no light and when it's cold, wet and windry it get's even worse trying to get the key in the lock.

I generally dont booze and certainly wont drink drive, even if i drank the night before I wont drink.

But that bottle of vodka I found rthe other night, I mixed some in with coke and put the bottle in the fridge, so might just nip of for some to help me sleep.   ::)
