Ghostly Interior light

Today, driving, switched on headlights, interior roof light came on in sympathy, turned headlights off, interior light goes out, headlights on again, NO interior light. WTF??? :-? :-? :-?

Main light switch has a "pull/push" feature for rooflight. Pull switch out, should be resistance, if not possibly worn causing rooflight to illuminate

Thanks Rob, I'd forgotten its pull/push use, but pretty sure I didn't pull it out, however, at least its related, which makes me feel better.
