ABS ECU
« on: 02 September 2011, 19:59:54 »

Some of you will recall that I posted a query a week or so ago when the warning lights came on for the abs and traction control and the speedo sank to zero.  Several members replied that it was the ecu in the abs system.  However, I've now had a full diagnostic check including riding in the front passenger seat with a lap top on my knee whilst the mechanic drove the car with the faul lights showing.
You will be interested to hear that it isn't the ABS ecu which is faulty - it is the speed sensor in the differential!
Even with the warning lights on, the read outs on the laptop showed that both the abs and TC systems were working fine!! ;)
