Quite simply the finest "road" you can ever drive along.
Just remember to use engine braking!

I will never forget Mr DTM showing me how to drive down that pass... amazing.  8-)

I can fly to Slovina for £75, car hire is £92 for the week, its cheaper to fly and rent, not to mention time saved.

I agree with Stelvio, but get a car with a decent power to weight ratio. Remember you'll lose quite a lot of grunt at the top.
